WHALE WATCHING IN SOUTH AFRICA

Whale watching in South Africa

Annually from June to November, Southern Right whales and Humback whales begin to arrive in South African waters after their long breeding migration from Antarctic waters. The Southern Cape offers spectacular land and boat-based whale watching with growing populations of Southern Right Whales, while the KwaZulu Natal coast offers has more Humback Whales, whose populations are still growing fast . Walker Bay, Hermanus, St Lucia and Cape Vidal are great places to experience this wildlife phenomenon. For an even closer encounter take a sea-kayak tour that will get you right in amongst the action.
